It’s my birthday today! It is also Elvis’ birthday and David Bowie’s, so I am in pretty good company. I made my own birthday cake this year and truly over-committed once again. I decided to try a recipe from Food and Wine that I have been hanging on to for years. This massive chocolate layer cake includes coffee-infused chocolate sponge cake, German Chocolate Cake, espresso cheesecake and some homemade chocolate buttercream.
